Donald Trump with wife Melania and son Barron
US former and future first lady Melania Trump has struck a staggering $40 million deal with Amazon for a documentary chronicling her life, featuring appearances by her husband, Donald Trump, and their son, Barron, reported the New York Post. The project, directed by Brett Ratner of Rush Hour fame, is slated for release later this year and could lead to additional ventures under the multi-year agreement.
Disney reportedly offered $14 million but was easily outbid by the tech giant. Sources reveal that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos personally took an interest in the project, helping smooth relations with the Trump family, reported the Post.
The documentary promises to delve into the private life of the Slovenian-born former model, whose carefully curated public image has fueled curiosity. “Melania has always been incredibly private, but this documentary will offer a rare glimpse into her life,” a source said. “Her mystery has only increased the demand for such a project.”
Melania, now 54, will serve as executive producer, securing creative control and a share of the profits. Insiders claim Donald Trump played a key role in structuring the deal.
“Melania has become more confident in presenting herself to the public,” a source close to the project shared. “She knows her value and is ready to capitalize on it.”
The documentary builds on the success of Melania’s best-selling memoir, Melania, released last year, and signals her growing influence as both a public figure and a businesswoman.
Neither Ratner nor Melania’s representatives have commented on the project, but the documentary is already generating significant buzz, with industry insiders expecting it to dominate headlines upon its release.
