Two people have died in a horrifying crash in Gormanston, Co Meath, on Monday morning. The emergency services raced to Gormanstown in Co. Meath on Monday, November 24, following a serious collision involving a bus, car and truck. 

Gardai say the driver of the lorry, a man in his 40s, and the driver of the bus, a man in his 50s, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, and a teenage girl who was a passenger of the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The woman was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin and the girl was first admitted to our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda before being transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

It is understood at least 10 other people were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Bus Éireann confirmed one of its route 101 services was involved in the crash, which took place near the site of the former Huntsman pub.

A spokesperson added: "Bus Éireann can confirm one of our route 101 services has been involved in a critical road traffic collision involving other vehicles in the Gormanstown Cross area of county Meath this morning, 24 November 2025.

"Emergency services and Bus Éireann personnel are currently at the scene.

"We will provide further information as it becomes available."

The R132 is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning, Monday 24th November 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
