The teenager was snatched at around 6pm from Panazol in the suburbs of Limoges.

The boy was last seen in a pale yellow sweatshirt, beige cargo pants, and white Nike trainers.

A statement published by the Ministry of Justice said Rayan requires “constant care for severe diabetes”.

They added that he is of North African descent and just under 5ft tall.

Cops launched a missing persons investigation this morning as they confirmed they are looking for two suspects.

Police believe that Rayan voluntarily followed the two people before he was led away.

Both suspects have been identified but not yet found, a source told Le Parisien.

One is a woman aged 25 to 30 with long black hair and a heavy build.

The second is a man of medium build who was wearing black jogging pants, a black Nike sweatshirt and a black cap.

Police are now said to be probing a potential connection between the two suspects and Rayan’s father.

The dad was arrested in connection with the disappearance on Monday just two hours after Rayan vanished, local media reports.

It has been claimed that he is being investigated over an alleged “plan” to kidnap the teenager.

French officials sounded the national alert system – the alerte-lèvement – which helps to notify the country about the most concerning missing children’s cases.

The alert is inspired by the Amber Alert plan, created in Texas in 1996, following the horror kidnapping and murder of Amber Hagerman.

It has only been triggered in France just over thirty times since its inception.

Rayan’s disappearance comes as a nine-year-old schoolgirl who has not been seen for almost one year has only just been reported missing.

Investigators are now frantically searching for nine-year-old Melodee Buzzard.

Cops say her life is at risk, but they’ve not been able to say if foul play is a factor in her disappearance, as per the CW affiliate KTLA-TV.

Cops are yet to issue an Amber Alert in connection with her disappearance but have launched an urgent appeal.
