Taylor Farms has also been linked to a separate multistate outbreak of another foodborne illness.The recalled products contained jalapenos grown in the Mexican state of Sinaloa and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors, according to the FDA. A number of retailers, including Hannaford, Kroger, Stop & Shop, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, and Whole Foods, received recalled products across 26 states. An investigation into the outbreak is still underway.At least 345 people have contracted Salmonella since mid-June, according to health authorities, with dozens of hospitalizations reported.People usually contract Salmonella infections after consuming food contaminated with the bacteria.
