Elon Musk is back at showering money for the 2026 midterms as he donated $10 million for Nate Morris for Kentucky. Axios reported that the stunning gift is only a teaser that Musk will be spending big for the midterms, burying the hatchet with President Donald Trump.
The $10 million check is Musk's biggest single contribution for a Senate candidate. Musk was the biggest donor during the 2024 campaign, contributing nearly $300 million to pro-Republican causes.
Who is Nate Morris? Why Musk putting so much money on him
45-year-old Nate Morris, a 9th generation Kentuckian, is an entrepreneur and tech executive. He founded Rubicon, one of America's largest waste and recycling companies, starting with a $10,000 line of credit in 2008.
He launched his campaign last year on Donald Trump Jr's podcast. An immigration hardliner, Morris was endorsed by Charlie Kirk before Kirk's death last September.

How Trump and Musk secretly patched up
Hours before Nicolas Maduro was captured, Elon Musk had a lovely dinner with Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. “Had a lovely dinner last night with POTUS and FLOTUS,” Musk posted the following evening, including a photo of the trio together at their table.
“2026 is going to be amazing!" he wrote, dropping enough hints that he's all in for the midterms.Elon Musk and Donald Trump had a bitter fallout over the Big, Beautiful Bill, which saw Musk accusing Trump of being one of the offenders of the Epstein case -- a post that he deleted later. Musk exited the administration and announced a new party but now things are back on track. They were first seen together after their fallout at the memorial for Charlie Kirk in Arizona. JD Vance mediated the patch-up and it is believed that he talked Musk down from starting a new political party of his own.
