A SUSPECT in the £76million Louvre heist has reportedly been unmasked as a bodybuilding motocross daredevil influencer.

Abdoulaye N., 39, is known online as Doudou Cross Bitume or The Motocross Legend, and once worked as a museum security guard.

He was arrested on October 29 and charged with organised theft and criminal conspiracy after what French media are calling the “heist of the century”.

Investigators suspect Abdoulaye and an accomplice used a cherry-picker truck to reach a first-floor window of the Louvre’s Apollo Gallery on October 19.

The thieves cut through glass cases to steal the French Crown Jewels, which are worth an estimated £76million.

None of the treasures, including a diamond-encrusted crown and historic diadems, have yet been recovered.

Abdoulaye, from Aubervilliers in Seine-Saint-Denis, built a following in the late 2000s posting videos of high-risk wheelies and stunt rides through Paris landmarks.

He’s been filmed wheeling through the Champs-Élysées, the Trocadéro, and near the Stade de France.

His slogan, “Always closer to the asphalt,” became a catchphrase for young fans.

Clips show him weaving through traffic toward the Arc de Triomphe on one wheel, often on a Yamaha TMax scooter – the same model reportedly used in the Louvre thieves’ getaway.

Off-screen, Abdoulaye had worked different jobs as a delivery assistant, warehouse worker and unlicensed taxi driver.

Born in 1986, Abdoulaye reportedly has 15 previous convictions, mostly for minor offences including driving without a licence and resisting arrest.

He served time in 2015 for an armed jewellery-store robbery in Barbès. Friends describe him as a “good-natured dreamer” who taught motorbike lessons to local teens.

His father, a retired airport worker, had 23 children across three marriages. Abdoulaye left school in the eighth grade and has several children of his own.

A separate court hearing this week on an unrelated charge of damaging public property was postponed amid what judges called “media attention and recent events.”

His lawyer, Maxime Cavaillé, said the defence would ensure “the respect of the presumption of innocence” and protect the client’s privacy “despite the extraordinary nature” of the case.

Court files describe a man who tried repeatedly to go straight, even working briefly as a museum security guard at the Pompidou Centre, according to French reports.

During questioning by the Paris Anti-Gang Brigade, Abdoulaye allegedly admitted partial involvement, The Guardian reported.

He claimed he acted under orders from unidentified figures “from abroad.”

One of the accused, 34-year-old Ayed G., reportedly told cops he thought the break-in was “near the pyramid” and didn’t realise the building was the Louvre.

Another suspect claimed he believed the museum “was closed and empty”.

Four people are now in custody, including a couple from La Courneuve charged with complicity and conspiracy.

Prosecutor Laure Beccuau said the arrests have led to “new searches and the seizure of new objects,” though at least one person remains at large.

Police say DNA found on display cases and discarded gear links Abdoulaye to the Apollo Gallery break-in.

The suspects’ getaway truck, allegedly meant to be torched, was found nearby almost intact, raising doubts about their supposed professionalism.

It comes after French media reported claims that at the time of the heist, the password to the Louvre’s video-surveillance system was simply “Louvre.”

A museum employee allegedly told investigators the system used basic credentials and outdated software, though officials have not confirmed the detail, ABC News reported.
