A 'Living Nostradamus' says he is "satisfied" with his World Cup prediction becoming reality. Ahead of the tournament, Brazilian mystic, Athos Salomé, stopped short of naming an outright winner. He insists, however, that his forecast had little to do with football expertise and more due to symbols and studies in Kabbalah.
Instead he told the Express, the winning team would be linked with the colours of fire, prompting speculation based on the colour of their kits that it could be Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands, France, Morocco, Argentina or even England – due to its away strip. Salomé said after Spain's 1-0 win against Argentina on Sunday (July 19) that he "consistently" highlighted the Spanish squad as "the leading favourite".

He said: "While many psychics and commentators around the world were predicting Portugal or other nations to lift the trophy, I identified the finalists and repeatedly emphasised Spain as the most likely champion. The outcome has now reflected those predictions."
What does Salomé say about his prediction?
The so-called 'Living Nostradamus' said naturally it was satisfying to see his analysis confirmed by events.
Mystic Salomé added: "When you make a public prediction weeks in advance – especially when most opinions point elsewhere – and the outcome unfolds as anticipated, it reinforces confidence in the work behind it.
"But I always see each correct prediction as a responsibility rather than a trophy."
He said that every new forecast he delivers must stand on its own merits.

What does Salomé say about Argentina now?
In response to the losing side, Salomé said: "I think Argentina leaves this World Cup with its head held high.
"Reaching another final is an achievement in itself and confirms that the team remained among the world’s elite."
He added that losing a final is always painful, but it doesn’t erase what Argentina has built over recent years or what Lionel Messi represents for football.
The mystic said: "Great careers aren’t defined by a single result. Messi’s legacy was established long ago through his consistency, his influence on the game and the titles he has already won."

How does Salomé arrive at his predictions?
The Brazilian said he does not rely on statistics or intuition alone to arrive at a prediction. He said: "My approach combines symbolic analysis, long-term pattern observation and my studies in Kabbalah."
This is a mystical, religious occult philosophy which developed among Jews in ancient times and seeks to understand God's nature.
Salomé continued: "I look for cycles, synchronicities and elements that, in my experience, often precede major events. These impressions are then weighed against real-world developments before I share any public conclusion.
"I also believe it’s important to say that no predictive method is infallible. Predictions are interpretations, not certainties."
He explained that is why he always encourages people to judge his work over time by its overall consistency rather than any single forecast.
