Grindr disputes the allegations.“The settlement includes no findings or admission of liability,” Grindr said in a US regulatory filing submitted late last week. It nevertheless acknowledged the “distress and loss of trust” expressed by some users.The legal action was launched in April 2024 by law firm Austen Hays at the High Court of England and Wales. Information allegedly disclosed also included HIV test dates and whether users took medication to prevent infection, according to the firm.
