Vladimir Putin’s state TV has slammed the Russian army failing to strike Odesa during a visit by Boris Johnson.
The ex-British Prime Minister was spotted in the Ukrainian city at the weekend ahead of a visit to Kyiv in a move that has allegedly infuriated Russian leadership.
Vladimir Putin’s leading TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov said: “Excuse me, please, but why didn't we strike Odesa when [Boris] Johnson [was] hanging out there?
“I really can't understand it….”
Retired Russian general Evgeny Buzhinsky said: “I also can't understand why. When will this political tourism stop?"

Johnson was in Black Sea port Odesa with Lord Ashcroft on a morale boosting trip before attending the Yalta European Strategy conference in Kyiv.
The ex-PM is seen as an enemy for the Kremlin which accuses him of giving Volodymyr Zelensky the steel to stand up to Putin early ins the war.
Johnson condemned Donald Trump's 'sick making' red-carpet rollout for Putin in Alaska last month, and called for £260 billion frozen Russian assets in the West to be handed to Ukraine.
Solovyov said another attendee - Finland’s Trump-whispering president Alexander Stubb - should also have been targeted by Russian missiles.

Solovyov said Russia should publicly warn Western politicians their lives were in danger visiting Ukraine.
He demanded: “Why not officially announce that we do not guarantee the presence of these people on Ukrainian territory?
“They can come at their own risk, but we guarantee their insecurity in Ukraine.”
Hardliner Buzhinsky replied: “Well, you can declare it, or you can simply more actively destroy the railway [they use to travel on].”
The threat to Johnson was on Rossiya 1 state-funded TV.
