King Charles, 77, however, doesn’t pretend that age is just a number. The monarch’s response after being told he ‘looks good’ cuts straight through the pleasantries.On 22 July, while attending the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Sandringham Flower Show, a well-wisher told him, “I’m the same age as you. You are looking good!” The monarch had a rather cheeky response. “It gets much harder, doesn’t it?” Hello! reported. Those words, delivered with perfect timing and a familiar smile, got a laugh from people who recognised them immediately as truth, not humility.
