JD Vance revealed his social media posts are drafted by him.
Vice President
JD Vance
who uses his personal account on X unlike any other vice president, expressing his opinions freely, revealed Thursday that there is no team behind his social media posts and he writes everything -- good, bad, ugly. The revelation came on the sidelines of the Conservative Political Action Conference that the vice president opened.
"One of my wife's pieces of advice to me was don't be filtered, don't let other people write your tweets. So yes, I write my own tweets, So both the good ones and the bad ones, I take responsibility for," JD Vance said.
JD Vance has recently been accused of threatening the US constitution after he wrote on X that it is illegal for a judge to try to tell a general how to conduct a military operation. “If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal. Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power," he wrote drawing a volley of criticism.
On Thursday, JD wrote a long post on X defending President Donald Trump's stand on the Russia-Ukraine war and how a quote from a book about George HW Bush from a different historical period does not apply to the present scenarios.
President Trump launched a blistering attack against Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy after the Ukraine president accused Trump of siding with the Russians. US and Russian officials met in Saudi Arabia as Trump is pushing for an immediate resolution of the Russia-Ukraine war. As Trump blamed Ukraine for starting the war, Zelenskyy said Trump has been fed Russian disinformation. Trump called Zelenskyy a 'dictator without elections' and asked why US should pump its money to Ukraine as aid while Ukraine does not stand a chance to win.
JD Vance stood strongly with Trump and said Zelenskyy will regret badmouthing Trump in public and that Zeelenskyy is being advised wrongly on how to deal with the new administration. “His country wouldn’t exist without the generosity of the United States of America. Say thank you. It’s stupid. Badmouthing Trump in public will not change his mind. Zelenskyy needs better consultants," JD Vance said Thursday.
