Emergency services have swarmed a shopping centre in Japan on Monday after reports of people experiencing eye and throat pain.

Police reported that at around 5:30 p.m., a security guard at the commercial complex “Mozo Wonder City” in Nishi Ward, Nagoya City, called emergency services, stating that multiple people were experiencing eye irritation and coughing. Investigators report that several individuals have complained of irritation in their eyes and throats, while the facility also noted that someone was coughing inside an arcade area on the fourth floor.

Police confirmed that, so far, no one has been transported to hospital. Authorities, including police and firefighters, are continuing to examine the situation to determine the cause and assess any potential risks.
