Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is said to be furious at Donald Trump over what is seen as a "surrender" to Iran.
Earlier today, Trump announced Iran has promised to give up nuclear weapons for decades and that war in the Middle East is close to ending, but that claim has now been dubbed a "lie" by Tehran.
He also said Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire and that the leaders of the two countries will meet next Tuesday for the first time in 34 years.
The ceasefire will come into effect at midnight local time, 7am AEST, with Mr Trump saying he had tasked Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Rubio with ensuring a lasting peace between the two sides.
But a close media representative to the Israeli Prime Minister claimed Israel saw this move as Trump "surrendering" to Iran.

The announcement is deemed a step in extending the ceasefire between the US and Iran. However, Iran is claiming that "no major progress has been made" between the two countries.
They denied any agreement to hand over its enriched uranium, as claimed by Trump, with a source close to Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf saying "no form of nuclear material transfer to America has been negotiated".
It was branded "another lie" by a different Iranian source who added that "no major progress has been made" and that the continuation of talks is dependant on "compliance with all of Iran's conditions."

Trump posted the ceasefire announcement on his Truth Social platform after a meeting between Israel’s and Lebanon’s ambassadors in Washington.
Earlier, Netanyahu said he agreed to the ceasefire “to advance” peace efforts with Lebanon, but added that Israeli troops would not withdraw.
Israeli forces have extended what officials have called a “security zone” after fierce battles with Hezbollah in the border area.

Mr Netanyahu, in his address, said it will extend 10 kilometres (six miles) into Lebanon.
“That is where we are, and we are not leaving,” he said in a video message.
