was part of one of the largest assaults in the Israeli territory in recent months.

Islamic Jihad's armed wing in Tulkarm confirmed Jabber's death, bringing the total number of

Palestinians

killed over the past two days to 17.
They also reported that fighters had engaged Israeli forces near the Abu Ubaida mosque.

The operation, which began early Wednesday morning, involved hundreds of Israeli troops supported by helicopters, drones, and armoured personnel carriers, raiding the cities of Tulkarm, Jenin, and areas in the Jordan Valley.
During the operation, a complete network outage occurred at Jawwal, one of the two main telecommunications companies in the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank, reported news agency Reuters.

Israel on Wednesday launched an extensive military operation in the occupied West Bank, where nine militants were killed with at least seven killed in aerial attacks, in the operation, the Israeli military said.
