American forces resumed strikes against Iran on Tuesday, US Central Command (Centcom) has said.Centcom said the US strikes followed "recent attempted attacks" by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.The Iranian Red Crescent said four people including a young child were killed in the US attacks, and more than 50 injured, when after a US missile attack shrapnel hit a home where a wedding celebration was taking place in Sirik in southern Iran.In response, Iran launched attacks at US military bases in Iraq and Jordan, according to local state media and the Jordanian Armed Forces. Attacks were also reported in Kuwait and Bahrain. The IRGC said the US would "regret" the strikes.
