India and the European Union announce the completion of a major trade agreement in New Delhi, ending two decades of negotiations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EU leaders describe the pact as the “mother of all deals,” aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and reducing dependence on the United States and China. The agreement covers about 25% of global GDP and one-third of global trade, creating significant opportunities for India’s 1.4 billion people and millions across the European Union.
