A travel blogger who has visited every country in Europe hailed one landlocked nation as the best on the continent - praising its friendly locals and stunning architecture. YouTuber Drew Binsky has built a massive profile on the platform documenting his experiences as he travels across the world.
In October 2021, he achieved the remarkable feat of visiting all 195 countries recognised by the United Nations, after touching down in Saudi Arabia. His deep dives into some of the world's least visited states and rankings of cities and countries have seen him amass a staggering 5.29million subscribers on his main channel.
But it's given him an unusually informed perspective about what makes some countries stand out.
Europe contains 50 countries, though only 44 sovereign states or nations have their capital within the continent and are recognised as being in Europe by the United Nations.
Having visited the full half-century, Drew ranked his favourites in order in a video posted on January 11, based on friendliness, affordability, cuisine, natural beauty, historical wonders, and authentic cultural experiences.
He gave the top spot to the Czech Republic in central Europe, describing Old Town Square in the centre of Prague as his "favourite place on the planet", praising the city's friendly locals and medieval architecture.
Drew studied abroad in the city in 2012, and it still holds a special place in the vlogger's heart, despite his extensive travels.

"There are many cities around this country that are stunningly beautiful, like Plzen, where they brew the famous Pilsner Urquell beer."
He also singled out Liberec, a city an hour north of Prague, for praise, as well as Olomouc, and Brno in the east, and said all the little towns and villages are "so cool".
Drew said the country's location on the border between Western and Eastern Europe means you "still get that Eastern European flair and culture", combined with the character of other Western cities.
He noted that the older generation in the country, which has a population of around 10.8million, lived under communism and "have a different outlook on life, it wasn't so happy-go-lucky for them growing up".
"And that's maybe why you think Czech people don't smile so much at you on the streets, and you think that they're rude.

"But actually they're super friendly and super cool once you get to know them."
He described Prague as safe and clean and "way, way, way more affordable than Western Europe. For example, if you drive an hour from here you're already in Dresden Germany".
"Beer is still cheaper than water here, even though it has gotten quite pricey over the last few years," said Drew, who was able to get a glass at a restaurant in Prague for just $2 (£1.56). He was also taken with the cobble-stone walkways that are "everywhere" in Prague.
Though the city is home to around a million people, Drew says its still relatively small and easy to explore, and "you can really walk around the entire old town in just a couple of hours".
The country is also loaded with "beautiful parks, cafes, restaurants, bars" and it's "amazing for nightlife", he added.
He praised the public transport in Prague which is "immaculate" and "always on time", but is less impressed with the food, which is "very heavy" consiting of "meat and potatoes, and sauerkraut and cabbage".
But visitors come for the "fun" and the "beautiful atmosphere" and the "relaxing vibes".
