A 22-year-old woman has spoken of what it is like living with a man 51 years older than her. Many people these days are sharing a house with others, and this can mean individuals of many different backgrounds find themselves living together. This can be via a landlord or housing agency, or a more informal agrrangement whereby the rent and bills can be split. This can be a huge help. especially in expensive cities like London and Manchester where house prices are contiuning to soar.

Ella Wilson has told of how she was looking for a flatmate before six months ago deciding to move in with a 73-year-old guy she had never met before. She said on TikTok that she was intially wary about the idea of living with David Cox, but had "a good gut feeling". Her family were alright with her decision and not worried. It has worked out great, and Brit Ella says David is the "best housemate ever" after making a home with the pensioner in Sydney, Australia in September 2024.

After she explored the country, Ella says the best part of living with David is helping him to stay active.

They even recently did a 5K run together, and a clip was posted showing the friends crossing the finish line together.

Ella said: "Six months ago I moved in a random 73-year-old man. We went on a few runs together.

"He couldn't do more than about a kilometre with literally looking like he was going to keel over and die.

"Six months later, we've achieved a lot of things together, but today was our first five kilometre park run."

She added: "We put on our matching trainers and off we went and oh, actually, David overslept so he was very unprepared for this.

"It amazes me how fit and active this man is, he's honestly incredible.

"I feel like we've been leading up to this moment for quite a while now and we randomly decided to for it today so here we are.

"So here we are about to set off on our 5K run."

The young woman was surprised by her David's performance. "He's not even breaking a sweat," she said.
