Health officials said the infant suffered a severe medical emergency after being accidentally left inside a vehicle by his father during sweltering temperatures, which reached a peak of 41.9C outside.The toddler was taken to Fuerteventura General Hospital in a critical condition before being airlifted to the Maternal and Children's Hospital in Gran Canaria for specialist treatment on Saturday (August 1).
