It has been confirmed 78 police staff are suspended amid allegations of misconduct following the reported sexual assault.The officer at the centre of the case is accused of raping a mentally disabled girl. An investigation was launched after the alleged attack was reported and he was immediately suspended and arrested. It has now been confirmed that dozens of staff, including constables, inspectors and administration staff have also been suspended amid a probe into their alleged mishandling of the case.
