The earthquake occurred 3.73 miles (6km) South of Granada at 3.46pm local time (2.46pm BST).The Mediterranean Seismological Centre said the earthquake measured a magnitude of 3.7. The earthquake had its epicentre in the town of Ogíjares, at a depth of 6 kilometres, although the National Geographic Institute initially located the epicentre in La Malahá at a depth of 10 kilometres.
