Ghana ministers killed in copter crash

Flags in Ghana are set to fly at half mast as the country mourns the deaths of the defence and enviroment ministers... who were both killed in a military helicopter crash. Edward O-mane Boa-mah and Ibrahim Mur-tala Muhammed were among five passengers aboard the chopper ...when it crashed en route from Accra to the town of Obu-asi. 

Also, days after one of the dealiest migrant shipwrecks this year, the UN's migration agency says that seven Ethiopian migrants have died of hunger and thirst after their boat's engine failed in the Red Sea.  According to the International Organization for Migration, the boat which had been carrying 250 people from Somalia, arrived in Yemen Tuesday after a gruelling week-long journey.

Finally, in Rwanda, teenagers as young as 15 will now be able to access contraception after parliament approved a new law on Wednesday aimed at tackling teenage pregnancy. Authorities in the country, where the legal age for accessing contraceptives was 18, have been trying to crack down on teenage pregnancy, but efforts to widen access to contraception have faced widespread resistance.
