Trump and Starmer were slammed on GB News (Image: Getty)
Former Conservative MP Louise Mensch lashed out over US President Donald Trump lambasting the UK’s stance on the ongoing Iran conflict as she also heavily criticised Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s handling of the US-UK relationship. As a breaking news banner flashed at the bottom of the screen on GB News, Mensch began: “We’ve had it reported in the British press just recently that Iran is hiring people to go around and attack British citizens, attack British military bases and attack Jewish people and cause division. We’ve seen an Iranian arrest just last week for trying to sneak into one of our nuclear bases, and Iran has launched drones at our base in Cyrpus and we have done absolutely nothing about it.

"Keir Starmer would be better off trying to say to the British public, ‘Unless you want petrol to soar and the price of everything to go up, we should be in this action.’"
Continuing her rant, she added: “Britain is not Keir Starmer, and America is not Donald Trump - just as America was not Joe Biden...”
“Donald Trump’s opinion is like the British weather, give it five minutes, and it will change,” she quipped. “Even his biggest fans would have to admit that is true. Right now, he is angry as the war is not ending as quickly as he would like, so he lashes out at NATO and at Britain.”
‘I wish both Keir Starmer and Donald Trump would grow up!’

The former politician then said she was “slightly frustrated”, adding: “I do wish that both Keir Starmer and Donald Trump would grow up, but there is no sign of that anytime soon.
Viewers flooded to X to comment on her remarks, with one writing: "Note Starmer is measured in his responses, not necessarily needing to grow up. Louise wants the status quo, and of course, if the US used its resources to look to a tech future, I am sure the UK could be part of it. But it hasn't, and the UK needs good partners now, that is in the EU."

A second added: "I find it amusing that so many Liberal British commentators talk derisively about Trump.vely about Trump. Like they actually believe that they are smarter and more accomplished than him. They are obviously delusional, which erodes their credibility."
Another said: "Louise couldn’t handle the mean streets of Corby and ran away. Her advice on wartime matters is worthless."
