The decision that was subsequently supported by a Supreme Court ruling means only legal holiday rentals within the city limits are detached houses with tourist rental licences in certain areas. However, there is one obvious tourist apartment that has slipped through, which locals dub a “small hotel”, the Majorca Dauly Bulletin reports. It is on a street that connects Plaza de España, one of the most popular squares and is also the location of Palma's main bus and train terminal, to La Rambla, a beautiful tree lined avenue.

The apartment, which doesn’t have a key box, isn’t even trying to hide that it caters for tourists as it is on an Airbnb. Locals say the owner and his dad greet holidaymakers when they arrive hence there being no reason for a lock box.
One neighbour says: "There are illegal offers all over these streets. Yet no one does anything."
The Airbnb listing praises its sought-after location, free coffee and pizza are even offered.
Those looking to head to the beach can help themselves to a parasol, goggles, and a cool box.

The rate per night ranges between €65 and €95. Were the apartment to be totally full for a month, it could make up to €48,000.
However, visitors staying in the centrally located apartment have been astounded to found that the apartment has five bedrooms, each with a number, but it only has one bathroom.
One comment reads: "We didn't know there were five rooms in total with an occupancy of up to four people and only one bathroom.
"I counted 14 guests at one point! And only one bathroom/toilet!"
