Florida man dodged $300,000 scam after wife tracked him on Find My iPhone and police officer stopped the wire

Ben Wagner said he was at work when he received a call from someone posing as "Chief Hobbs" with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, according to a report by FOX13. The caller claimed Wagner had a warrant out for his arrest for missing a jury summons.To make the story believable, the caller even emailed a fake warrant that included Wagner's correct name, listed charges and the sheriff's name. Wagner said the details seemed legitimate and even looked up the names online while trying to verify the information. "This doesn't seem normal," Wagner said.
