The statement said that Infantino had broken trust "through deception" โ€Œwith the now abandoned proposal, โ€‹had "placed himself above the collective" and the three confederations called for โ€‹a fully independent review โ€‹of what had โ€‹happened. "Football's strength has always been its โ€‹unity," the statement concluded. "We call for that unity to be honoured now, for โ leadership that serves football, not seeks โ to โ€‹command it."
