On his return to France, Léon Marchand posted the world’s best time of the year in the 200m. In athletics, Étienne Daguinos won the bronze medal in the 5,000 metres at the European Championships. Jimmy Gressier finished fourth. In football, Yan Diomandé took part in his first training session with Real Madrid. Gianni Infantino and FIFA remain under fire. In basketball, Tony Parker is set to coach a former team-mate, Patty Mills.
