Under the agreement, Prime Video will stream the annual awards honoring the best in TV for free to all audiences, including nonsubscribers, in more than 240 countries and territories. Prime Video's rights to the Emmys will begin with the 2027 ceremony. NBC, owned by Comcast, aired the 2026 ceremony on Sept. 14. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In the release, Prime Video was named as the "permanent home" for the Emmys, in contrast to the rotating agreement in place years prior.The switch ends the traditional "wheel-deal" setup to broadcast the awards, where ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox took turns hosting the Emmys each year.
