Donald Trump has revealed an agonising consequence of his son Barron Trump's staggering height.
The US President took a moment to commend his youngest son during a significant announcement about the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Joined by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Trump revealed that the World Cup drawing will be held at the Kennedy Center on December 5. When questioned by reporters about his role in the drawing, Trump humorously responded, "I may play," which elicited laughter from the press. It comes after alarming Trump health fears over a huge bulge spotted in his pants.
"I mean, I see the money that these soccer players are making, I may try to play, I'm a very good athlete."
Immediately following this, Trump brought up his son, Barron, who is preparing to start his second year at New York University soon.

"My son is a very good athlete. He's a good soccer player," the president stated, without mentioning 19 year old Barron by name, but he did tell Infantino that his son is "on the tall side for soccer. He's 6'9, that's pretty tall."
Barron's towering height has been a topic of interest as he is often seen dwarfing his parents and older siblings in photos. In January 2024, Trump credited his son's height to all the food his late grandmother, Amalija Knavs, used to prepare for him.
The youngest Trump is known for his love of sports, with The Washington Post reporting in 2017 that golf is his favorite, often playing with his father during his first presidency. Barron also played basketball in Central Park when he was younger.
Trump has previously spoken about his son's passion for soccer, revealing to The Post that the teenager supports Arsenal F. C.

At the 2018 Russian-United States summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Trump with the Telstar Mechta, the official ball from that year's FIFA World Cup.
Trump quipped that he would pass the ball along to Barron; nevertheless, Bloomberg News reported that U.S. law prohibited the president from accepting this gift.
While announcing the FIFA World Cup drawing, Trump declared the event would occur at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C., jesting that some individuals call the venue the "Trump-Kennedy Center, but we're not prepared to do that. Maybe in a week or so."
The president was also accompanied by the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and Vice President JD Vance, to whom he was overheard whispering on a live microphone moments before the announcement.
"It's a tremendous honor to bring the global event and this incredible group of people to the cultural center of our nation's capital."
Trump also handled the FIFA World Cup trophy, which Infantino noted was "only for winners."
The president jested that he wouldn't be returning the trophy, remarking, "It'll fit very well" in the Oval Office.
