Donald Trump hit out at Emmanuel Macron in his Davos speech, as he mentioned the French President's decision to wear sunglasses during the delivery of his own address on Tuesday.
The French President delivered his speech to the world's leaders on Tuesday while wearing his sunglasses. It comes after he appeared in public with a bloodshot eye a few days prior. While addressing the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, the US President took a jibe at Macron's appearance and said: "I watched him yesterday with those beautiful sunglasses...What the hell happened!"

The cheeky comment from the US President left the social media frenzy with people quickly flocking to the social platforms to share their views.
One of the users wrote on X: "A lighthearted remark, but it underscores Trump’s trademark off-the-cuff style—even in high-level diplomatic settings."
A second user commented: "Finally, someone is asking the tough questions. Is it high-level diplomacy if we aren't discussing the eyewear?"

On Tuesday, before addressing the summit, Macron explained he was wearing the sunglasses because of a problem with his eye.
