Donald Trump's niece has launched a fresh attack against her uncle, claiming he "can't tie his own shoes," amid escalating health concerns about the former president.
Psychologist Mary Trump, daughter of Donald's elder brother Fred Trump Jr, said the president's "reign of idiocy" on her YouTube show, Trump Trolls Trump. "We're now 166 days into the Trump regime's reign of terror, reign of confusion, reign of chaos, but also let's call it what else it is, it's a reign of idiocy," she said.
The 60-year-old author of the explosive book Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man, didn't hold back in ridiculing her uncle, stating: "Time flies when you're having a horrible time and when democracy is slowly being strangled by a man who can't tie his own shoes."
However, Mary did acknowledge one of Donald's skills. "Now, Donald is good at very, very few things but I'm going to give him credit for something," she conceded.
"He has an actually quite decent ability to mix cognitive decline with narcissism. I mean that's a twofer.
"Every time it is a 10 out of 10 for his performance in being a moron."
After his visit to a new Florida immigration detention centre known as "Alligator Alcatraz" last week, the president was questioned twice about how long detainees would be held there, Irish Star reports.
In response to the question, former President Trump veered off-topic, expressing his fondness for Florida, discussing changes to the Oval Office, and touching on New York taxes before concluding with: "I'll be here as much as I can, very nice question."
Mary was quick to point out the irrelevance of Trump's reply, stating: "The question, you idiot, wasn't do you like Florida?" She went on to criticise his inability to provide a straightforward answer, saying: "The reason he can't answer that question is because he doesn't have an answer."
Trump's niece expressed her exasperation with what she described as his obstructionist behaviour, saying she is "sick of this thuggish lunk sitting there any denying the American people access to any truths about anything whatsoever."
She didn't hold back in her assessment of Trump's mental state, adding: "Donald is, quite frankly, increasingly far gone these days. He has an attention span of a toddler, although that's actually nothing new."
Mary also took aim at Trump's recent business endeavour, a newly launched Trump "victory" perfume advertised on Truth Social last week.
The scent, available for both men and women, is priced at $249 for a 100ml bottle and comes adorned with a gold-coloured Trump figurine. Mary condemned the move, commenting: "It is grotesque for the sitting president of the United States to grift off of his office, but here we are."
She concluded with a jab at the thought of the fragrance's aroma, adding: "The idea of having to guess what that horror smells like is deeply unfair to those of us who are still sane."
