Health fears surrounding Donald Trump are continuing to spiral after the president appeared to fall asleep in yet another meeting, this time while Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a foreign policy update. The president has been accused of falling asleep in nearly half a dozen meetings in the last few months, with rumours that the 79-year-old's health has quickly begun to deteriorate.
One thing sparking a flock of spiralling rumours is Trump’s hands. The president's hands first appeared bruised and covered by makeup when he met Emmanuel Macron on a state visit in February. However, when asked about the dark purple swelling on his hand, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed the bruises were a result of Trump shaking so many hands - a statement that only fueled the rumour flames.

When the bruises returned in recent weeks, the same questions soon came up, with the White House once again giving the hard-to-believe explanation.
Now one physician has come out to pour doubt on the White House explanation, saying that the level of bruising is very unlikely from shaking hands.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Dr Neal Patel said: “Shaking too many hands is a little bit of a stretch.
“President Trump has had something like this in the past, and from my experience and my patients, I would put that lower on the list of possibilities.”
Dr Boback Berookhim also agreed that the explanation seemed to be hiding something. Speaking to the MailOnline, he said: “It could be from a blood draw, an insect bite or potentially from hitting his hand against something.”
The president has constantly and passionately denied any claims that he is in anything but tip-top shape, even releasing the results of a medical exam and MRI test, claiming he had “as good a result as they’ve ever seen.”

After a New York Times article looking into his health, Trump posted a furious reply online: “After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean ‘THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”
Trump’s health has even made it into a talking point on the U.S. late-night shows. In a monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late-night host said: “Our president appears to be deeply unwell, even for him.”
He added: “Something is wrong here. The guy who is running our country is being given unscheduled dementia tests. He’s been given MRIs.
“He has mystery bruises that he’s covering with Maybelline. And we’re supposed to accept this idea that he’s some cross between Chris Hemsworth and Albert Einstein?”
