A huge train crash near Copenhagen in Denmark has left multiple people injured as emergency services rush to the scene. The collision occurred at about 6.30am near Hillerod, about 35 kilometres (22 miles) north of Copenhagen. It was not immediately clear how many people were injured.
Photos from the scene show the front ends of the trains smashed, though both remained upright on the tracks. At the moment, it says that there are many injured, some of which are critical, and they have been flown to the National Hospital.
"I am deeply shaken and shocked and my thoughts are with all those involved The local track is used by many Gribskov citizens, employees and pupils. Emergency services are working at full pressure, and we are trying from the central team to get an overview of what has happened more accurately and make sure that everyone gets the help they need."
