A five-year-old girl was left “unrecognisable” after a boy, 9, and girl, 10, allegedly raped and attacked her. The two children have been charged with attempted murder, rape, felonious assault, kidnapping and strangulation following the incident on September 13. The victim's mother said she dropped her daughter off at a family member's home in Cleveland, Ohio, where the child walked out of the front door and was allegedly attacked by a group of children.
The 5-year-old’s mum described the alleged scene as “unbelievable”. She said: “I literally saw the worst thing ever! I saw my daughter unrecognisable. I couldn't wrap my head around it." Speaking to Cleveland 19, she said: “My daughter was not my daughter. Her hair was scalped from her head. She had bruises and blood all over her body.”

The mother continued: "Her eyes were filled with blood. Her lips and mouth were filled with blood. Her nails had debris and dirt stuck in them."
She added: “She was screaming when she woke up, she said, ‘They killed me.’ She thought she was dead. To hear your baby say that she died - what? A 5-year-old shouldn’t even know that word.”
According to the news channel KPLC, the victim’s mum said the alleged attack left her five-year-old girl physically, emotionally and mentally scarred. She added that her daughter is now receiving therapy.
The mum said: "I want her to just be somewhat of a normal five-year-old again.”
The prosecutor's office said: "Given the sensitive nature of this case, we decline to release any additional details and decline to comment further."
