A street brawl between two tourists in Tenerife has sparked outrage among local residents. The fight reportedly happened in the early hours of Saturday morning on the Las Veronicas strip in Playa Las Americas - one of the busiest nightlife areas of the Canary Island.
The incident was captured on video and later shared on Instagram by the account @tenerifequejasvecionales. The image shows two young men—one in a white shirt and the other bear-chested—squaring up to each other, all the while cheered on by a crowd of British tourists.

One of the men then throws a punch as well as a kick during a quick burst of attacks.
But moments later, the man wearing a shirt lands a heavy blow on his shirtless foe, who then falls to the ground.
He quickly gets up before the man wearing a white top starts to chase him, before he trips up again.

A woman can be seen pleading with the man in a T-shirt to stop, screaming: "Stop it! Stop it!"

However, those in the crowd watching the fight laugh and goad the men to continue their scrap.
In the final moments of the video, the man in the T-shirt can be seen landing some more blows on his opponent before the two warring parties are eventually pulled apart.
The Instagram post produced a swift and critical reaction from social media users, the majority of whom condemned the incident.
“Instead of calling the police or breaking it up, they’re egging him on to keep fighting. I’m shocked at the kind of tourism we’re getting, what is Tenerife turning into?” one wrote.
Another added: “There’s zero police presence – it’s a disgrace.”
This incident comes just days after another viral video showed two British women violently grappling on the ground in the same area of Playa de Las Americas, again cheered on by onlookers.
Local businesses and residents have repeatedly raised concerns over the violent and anti-social behaviour of some tourists to the island.
