Canada issues highest travel warnings for high-risk countries
Canada has recently updated its international travel advisory, issuing its highest-level warnings for several countries it considers too dangerous for Canadian travellers. Iran

India on 'high degree of caution' list
In its advisory last updated in December 2025, Canada placed India under a “high degree of caution” due to the “threat of terrorist attacks throughout the country.” It advised against all travel to Jammu and Kashmir and border areas with Pakistan in Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan, while recommending that non-essential travel be avoided to Assam and Manipur.
