This comes just weeks after a 68-year-old Brit died in Rhodes. He lost consciousness after going for a swim at Lindos Beach on the Greek island.
Officers from the Central Port Authority of Rhodes rushed to the spot and took the man to the nearby Archangelos Health Centre.
There, he was sadly pronounced dead, dimokratiki.gr reports. An autopsy is due to take place to reveal the cause of the man's death.
While the exact circumstances remain unclear, authorities believe the man may have experienced a medical emergency as witnesses reportedly observed him struggling in the water before losing consciousness.
