Brit tourist, 34, vanishes in Amsterdam after telling pals he had ‘forgotten his passport before flight home’

A BRIT tourist has mysteriously vanished in Amsterdam after telling his mates he’d forgotten his passport and walking out of the airport before his flight home.

Ryan Jones, 34, was last seen at Schiphol Airport on May 4 after he told pals he didn’t have his travel documents and needed to go and retrieve them.

He left the group at 2.17pm and made a short phone call to them shortly after – but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Dutch cops have launched a desperate hunt for Ryan, urging the public to be on the lookout for “a large man, 6’3” tall, possibly wearing a white baseball cap and has a tattoo on his right forearm.”

The sudden disappearance has sparked fears after a series of troubling cases involving Brits going missing in the Netherlands – some ending in tragedy.

In 2023, 20-year-old Thomas Delafay from Plymouth vanished after being dropped off at a Dutch hospital following what was described as “a psychotic breakdown and hallucinations.”

His body was later discovered in a ditch near the Dijklander hospital in Hoorn, 20 miles north of Amsterdam.
