— Boston Fire Dept. (@BostonFire) April 1, 2025Images from the scene shared by the emergency services show the medium-sized lorry on its side having outside what appears to be a Chinese restaurant. The front end of the cab is heavily damaged, with the windscreen smashed, and the roof of the vehicle is crumpled.
A view inside the rear of the lorry shows almost no cargo inside, except for a wooden pallet and what looks like a pallet truck strapped to the side of the compartment.
On the truck it says it is from the rental firm, Penske. Company spokesman Randolph Ryerson said it was “aware of the incident” and was monitoring it closely.
He said: “Penske will be cooperating fully with authorities to support their investigation. Our thoughts are with those who have been injured in this unfortunate incident.
