A chilling prediction appears to have just come true from a dead psychic who had a eerie ability to prediction global events - and the latest prophecy could spell all-out war in Europe. Bulgarian blind mystic Baba Vanga was revered in her homeland and across the world for her uncanny ability to foresee things before they happened.

Dubbed the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", in a nod to the medieval French seer from the 1500s, Vanga has been credited by her followers as accurately predicting the 9/11 terror attack, the death of Princess Diana and the rise of China as a world power. The humble peasant lady made a series of prophecies before her death in 1996, one of which was that in 2025 there would be shattering earthquakes and an apocalyptic war in Europe.

Frighteningly with the massive deadly earthquakes just now having struck in Myanmar and Thailand, it appears one of Vanga's predictions for this year has already come true.

Rescue workers saved a 63-year-old woman from the rubble of a building in Myanmar's capital on Tuesday, but hope was fading of finding many more survivors of the violent earthquake that killed more than 2,700 people, compounding a humanitarian crisis caused by a civil war.

The head of Myanmar’s military government, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, told a forum for relief donations in the city of Naypyitaw that 2,719 people have now been found dead, with 4,521 others injured and 441 missing, Myanmar's state MRTV television reported.

He said Friday’s 7.7 earthquake was the second most powerful in the country's recorded history after a magnitude 8 quake east of Mandalay in May 1912.

As the international community seeks to help with the natural disaster in Southeast Asia, in Europe, the threat of expanding military conflict is rising as Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be resisting American attempts at ending the war in Ukraine.

European NATO powers are rearming at an accelerating rate and in Russian President Putin has signed an order to conscript more than 160,000 men aged 18 to 30.

France and Britain have forged ahead with developing plans to deploy troops in Ukraine to defend any eventual peace deal with Russia if it does happen.

But Germany’s chief diplomat described US President Donald Trump’s efforts to secure a truce in the three-year war between Russia and Ukraine as deadlocked.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, arriving in Kyiv for an unannounced visit, said that "due to the deadlock" between the US and Russia on forging a ceasefire deal, European allies’ continued support for Ukraine in the war is “absolutely crucial.”

On Sunday, President Trump scolded Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, expressing frustration at the continued fighting in a war he had pledged to swiftly stop.

Vladimir Putin has effectively refused a US proposal for an immediate and full 30-day halt in the fighting. Also, a partial ceasefire in the Black Sea that could allow safer shipments has fallen foul of conditions imposed by Kremlin negotiators.
