Elon Musk's father said he was a flaming Democrat until 2021.
Elon Musk's father Errol Musk in an exclusive interview to DailyMail reacted to his son's new identity as Donald Trump's confidante and said he is proud of his son. "I was proud of him the day he was born. I'm happy for him but, as a parent, you just want your child to be safe and well," he said recounting how Elon Musk once called his father "pure evil" and the conflict was also political.
Elon Musk's father is proud that Elon Musk is like Trump's right-hand man and is hopeful that the Ukraine war will end very soon. His father who is a Trump supporter himself said he spoke to Elon a few days after the election. "I was saying, 'Oh my God, this is incredible. You've done such a good job'," and then the two spoke about Tesla.
Errol recounted that his relationship with Elon changed over Donald Trump in 2016. "Elon used to be such a flaming Democrat. That's why my relationship with my sons changed. It started with differences over Donald Trump on my 70th birthday," Errol recounted the story.
At his birthday party where both his sons were present, someone asked Errol whether he was supporting Trump. He said he did and that enraged both his sons. "I've never heard my son Kimbal swear but he swore that day, 'Are you f**king stupid? How can you possibly say that to these people? It was afterwards that Elon gave an interview saying I was evil. He'd been brainwashed into thinking that was the only way he could keep those (liberal) friends," Errol said.
Errol said towards the end of 2021, there came a sea-change in Elon when President Biden did not invite Elon to the four-day electric car manufacturers' seminar at the White House.
